细节的趣味

常听大人评小孩说“大处看出息,小处见聪明”。搞艺术、做科研,好象也差不多。见过很多搞数学的大师,他们或者能找到繁琐细致异想天开的证明,或者高瞻远瞩开拓一门学科、奠定一番理论。也见过不少搞艺术的人,有的感觉好,有的技巧高。两者都具备的,或者已经功成名就,或者正在成“神”的路上磕磕碰碰的奔走。


画画弹琴,通常在细节中表现出各种技巧的无穷魅力。上面的插图,是以前用Phototshop处理过的一张照片的细节。单独放大开了来看,风格和原来的照片又有了很大的不同。在同一幅照片多取些不同的局部放大在墙上做装饰,又是另一种趣味。重复轰炸,可以带来更强烈和深刻的印象。


从另外一个角度来看,这些图实际上是一个软件的产品,大大有勃于传统艺术,并非灵感和技巧的产物,谈不上很多激情和意图之类的东西。虽然我在色彩、明暗对比、笔触大小和变化上加了一些人为选择,但本质上,这些还是“机械”法则的产物。不过,虽然计算机的程序很“呆板”,我觉得它们“画”出来的“笔触”也还算活泼吧。现在四下里一片白雪垲垲,这色彩上的一点点温暖和趣味,还是聊胜于无。再想一想真要用手画出来这一大墙的画面需要的时间,就觉得堕落也是有很充足的理由的:))

Fun from Detail

Here are some details from a previous photo touched using Photoshop. Since the original photo is blurry, after adjusting colors, and contrasts, I applied the Dry Brushes filter in Photoshop to make it more like a water color.

After posted the original photo, I noticed that actually the details have a lot of fun. The colors are much richer than the whole picture and also the fake pen strokes looks nice. I think arranging a few of them on a wall can really make a great deco element out of it.

So here is how it may look a like if you put them together :)) You can put them in a straight line, or put them in other layout.

For a long time I refused to do such "fake drawings". But now it look like an option that is not that terrible: think about how much time it can take to really paint something like that for a large wall! So I guess occasionally, I can spoil myself to do something like that ...
